Friends Helping Friends program provides non-clinical support to eligible women undergoing breast cancer treatment to promote healing and recovery.
Some examples of services are reimbursements for: transportation costs to and from radiation and chemotherapy treatments, bras and breast prostheses, wigs and hair alternatives, and other services not met by the healthcare or insurance providers at the discretion of the Friends Helping Friends Committee (such as counseling for end of life issues).
The Friends Helping Friends program is administered through referrals from the following cancer-based organizations and hospitals in Los Angeles County:

- Martin Luther King Ambulatory Center
- Olive View Medical Center
- Queen of Angels Hospital
- Sisters Breast Cancer Survivors Network
- Venice Family Clinic
- Wise & Healthy Aging
- Women of Color Breast Cancer Survivors' Support Project
